Before Freydoon’s birth, Zahhak who was slaughterous a tyrant had a nightmare that a young man would overthrow and kill him. Therefore, Zahhak sent his people every to find and kill Freydoon. Long time elapsed. Freydoon was born. His father was killed by Zahhak’s people. Faraanak – Freydoon’s mother – who was a wise woman, took Freydoon to Alborz mountain to protect him from Zahhak. There was a spiritual man in the mountain; Faraanak told the man that his son, Freydoon, will overthrow Zahhak one day. She asked the man to protect Freydoon like his own son; the spiritual man accepted.

After 16 years, Freydoon left Alborz mountain. He went to his mother and asked about his father. What he heard, made him angry. He decided to start a battle with Zahhak; Faraanak said goodbye to his son, weeping and praying.

Fereydoon went for a war with Zahhak and fought to a great victory.
